For 26 years Tim Hortons in Canada has been supporting local charities with over $90 million raised since the program started.
Local Tim Hortons owner, Laura Olivier, told Black Press about the 2024 event that took place at the Clearwater location on Dec. 5 saying, "We are proud to be donating to the Clearwater Humane Society this year having raised $1,837.00. Fifty per cent raised went to a charity of the owners’ choice which this year is the Clearwater Humane Society in our community and the other half raised went to the Tim Hortons Children Foundation Camps.”
Director of operations, Pooran Appadu, oversees seven Tim Horton's franchises in both B.C. and Alberta.
Sharing a bit of background with Black Press about the Smile Cookie Campaign, he said during the recent Holiday Smile Cookie promotion, Tim Hortons franchisees Lyle Hryniuk, Sherry Hryniuk, Wayne Hryniuk, as well as Roger and Laura Toews, in Edson, Hinton, Valemount, and Clearwater raised an impressive total of $8,900 for the Tim Hortons Foundation Camp, Yellowhead SPCA, Creekside Outreach Society, and the Clearwater Humane Society.

This community support truly reflects the spirit of giving and helps us make a lasting, positive impact on both local communities and youth across the region.
