The final flag has dropped at the Clearwater Speedway for the 2023 summer season over the weekend on Sept. 23, Saturday being a disappointing wash out due the rain.

It was a ‘wait and see’ overnight as the storm rolled through the North Thompson and the notices went out on Sunday, Sept. 24 that the races were good to go, as everyone returned for a final day at the track in Clearwater.

The fans and sponsors turned out to cheer on their favourite racers on a beautiful fall day in the valley, with the races ending in a fun ‘mechanics’ race to top off the celebration of the last day of the season.

Club members and invited guests are looking forward to a banquet at the Clearwater Ski Hill in October and then on to winter repairs and planning for the next season which will involve a three-way partnership with Merritt, Clearwater and Valemount tracks participating throughout the racing months next summer.
