The Wells Gray Visitor Information Centre hosted the North Thompson Arts Council ‘Art Walk’ August 4 - 6. Smoke from nearby Wells Gray Park and Adams Lake wildfires and the hot weather didn’t detour visitors from strolling through canopied booths to view beautiful photography, paintings, hand knitted knomes, jewelry and wooden crafts, and art class demonstrations. Locals and tourists took the opportunity to explore the creative talent displayed and purchase pieces and engage with the talented artists.
The North Thompson Arts Council is located at Evergreen Acres in Clearwater and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 - 4 p.m.
There is still time to create something for the 2023 Arts Alive. Submissions will be displayed at the Harvest Faire in September. Further display will be at the NTAC Gallery at Evergreen Acres. Your choice of image, medium and interpretation.
The Red Umbrella, an exhibition of works by local artists: Donna Coleman, Joan Smith, Robin Walker, Irene Gouchie and Bill Gouchie continues until August 15 during regular gallery hours.
