Two Stanley Humphries Secondary School students are organizing a fundraising dinner to benefit the Imagine Thailand Foundation.
The event featuring a Thai food menu will take place Nov. 21 at the Castlegar Community Complex banquet room.
Grade 12 student Talia McFaddin and grade 11 student Jordan MacKay are supported by local businesses, teachers, staff and grad students to make the Thai Dinner event a success.
Both McFaddin and MacKay developed a passion and understanding of the importance of giving back after recently volunteering for humanitarian causes.
McFaddin travelled and volunteered with Imagine Thailand to help supply children and families with basic day-to-day items we often taken for granted in Canada.
MacKay travelled to Bolivia with the Castlegar Rotary Interact Youth Group in August to volunteer her time and efforts helping children and families less fortunate there and making a difference.
The event is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an authentic Thai meal while also making a difference. Proceeds from the event will go to support Imagine Thailand.
Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite Thai Dinner Event or by contacting talia_mcfaddin@icloud.com.
