Kootenay Family Place's 2024 Teddy Bear Picnic brought lots of fun to little ones.

Kootenay Family Place Neighbourhood House is hosting two community events this month.

On May 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the community is invited to participate in Neighbourhood House Day at KFP's building at 767 11th Ave.

This event is part of B.C.-wide Neighbourhood House Week. It is a celebration of having such a great resource in Castlegar.

Attendees can participate in a collaborative craft, hear short speeches, have fun with face painting, listen to music and enjoy a free lunch.

On May 28, the annual Teddy Bear Picnic will take place at Kinsmen Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is a chance for parents of children aged zero to five to connect with local organizations to support your kids’ health and well-being. Children can bring their own stuffies and participate in games, crafts, face painting and other activities as well as explore some of Castlegar's fire vehicles.
