Generous donations towards new X-ray machine at Clearwater hospital

New X-ray machine soon to become a reality for Dr. Helmcken Memorial

The Clearwater Curiosity Thrift Shoppe in Clearwater made a significant donation of $40,000 on Dec. 19 to the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (DHMHA). The donation will be going towards the critical new X-ray machine for the hospital.

Well-known community supporters Anne and Roland Neave also presented DHMHA president Marilyn Collison with a cheque for $5,000, which is also earmarked for the purchase of the much-needed X-ray machine.

Clearwater Thrift Shoppe manager Lori Redman said “We are so grateful for this outpouring of community support for such a worthwhile goal. Our amazing volunteers work tirelessly, and it’s so wonderful when different community organizations work together for the greater good.”
