The Clearwater Secondary School graduation class of 2025 celebrated the beginning of their futures and the culmination of high school starting on Friday June 13 with a cap and gown ceremony and awards night. Family and friends gathered along with staff and students to bid farewell to another graduation class at CSS with laughter, tears, cheers and accolades.
Among the guest speakers was crowd favourite, retired CSS teacher Brent Buck who is always entertaining with his facial expressions and antics that capture the attention of any audience member. Buck solicited much laughter as he encourage, praised and congratulated the graduates for a year of hard work as they head off to follow their dreams.
Guest speakers TNRD director for Area "A" Usoff Tsao also offered some words of wisdom along with School District #73 school trustee Shelley Sim, both congratulating the Class of 2025 on a job well done.
Principal Darren Coates joined all those present to praise the students and awards of bursaries and scholarships rounded out the evening.
The following day on Saturday June 14, the grads donned formal wear to drive through Clearwater in the annual grad parade winding through town which ended up at the banquet venue that was beautifully decorated for their celebratory dinner and dance that evening with invited guests.
Crowds lined the streets during the parade to cheer on the classmates who rode on a variety of vehicles from classic cars to trucks and other unique forms of transportation. Shouts of "Congratulations!" could be heard often as they made their way through their hometown as heroes for the day heading off towards their future dreams and ambitions.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring, a saying often repeated but one thing seems clear, with the goals expressed by the Clearwater Secondary Class of 2025 the opportunities are endless and the future shines bright with promise.
