Clearwater Speedway is offering an incentive for the upcoming race meet in Clearwater on June 10 – 11 for fellow racers coming in from out of town to compete. All current Clearwater Speedway racing members from all three classes have chipped in to sweeten the pot for the next race weekend for top points only.
The following categories will have top prizes awarded as follows:
Street Stock top points will receive $500
Late Model top points will receive $250
4 Cylinder top points will receive $150
These amounts could very well grow prior to race days as donations will be accepted up until June 10.
The next racing weekend will also be Seniors Appreciation Weekend, so seniors ages 55 – 65 are half price and over 65 will be free at the gates.
The Clearwater Speedway was proud to take part in the May Day parade on May 20 in Clearwater hosted by Valley Pride. Our team joined in the fun and showed their community spirit with their cars involved and on display during the May Day festivities.
We are looking forward to welcoming Jim Gillis from Merritt, B.C. for this next race weekend who will be racing his beautiful ’57 Pontiac in the Street Stock Class.
Races are sponsored by R. Clark Contracting along with a variety of having many volunteers who are local and from out of town to assist in the preparation and maintenance that makes these fantastic race days possible.
We are still hoping to find someone willing to bring their food truck to the speedway grounds to make the events even more enjoyable and are inviting anyone interested to contact us via our Facebook group under Clearwater Speedway.
