On Friday, May 19, the Clearwater Curiosity Thrift Shoppe volunteers presented a cheque for $35,000 to the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Executive to help pay for equipment on the wish list received from the hospital.

The money will be used to purchase a bariatric ceiling lift to be installed in the acute care wing. The lift will allow caregivers to lift and transfer patients safely and comfortably.

“When a community works together, good things will happen. The hospital auxiliary is delighted to partner with the Curiosity Shoppe as supporters of equipment purchases for the hospital,” said Penny Christenson.
