The Clearwater River is on the rise thanks to heavy rains beginning on Friday May 24. The rain continued on Saturday but many events in the area went ahead such as the regular weekend Farmers’ Market at Dutch Lake Centre, the Upper Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department fundraising silent auction, and the introductory ‘Moose-tastic’ presentation and hike into Wells Gray Park with author and documentary filmmaker, Frank Ritcey.

A family of geese and growing goslings didn’t let the rain detour them on feasting along the shores of the Clearwater River on Friday evening as they enjoyed some of the delicacies in in the juicy grasses and some leisurely paddling in a little bay near the Clearwater River bridge.
